There is an increase in need for screening tests and for the removal of detected malformations as in our everyday life UV light is reaching unhealthy levels. In most cases, the malformation detected during the screening tests is removed surgically and sent for histological examination.
It is rare, that with the proper size of “security zone” the malformation causes any problems, but in some cases a repeated operation is necessary with oncological treatment. If the colour, size or the edge of a mole changes, or if it starts to itch, do not hesitate to contact a doctor and a surgeon.
During most operations we use plastic surgical procedures. In certain areas healing is a slower and more difficult process, for example over the joints, the leaning of the back, or body parts that are frequently used for moving. On these areas even with the best surgical technique thickening of the scars are common, but fortunately in most cases with the use of tissue-friendly technology, we can achieve beautiful results.
